Spine Order Set

To be completed on operative day prior to Spine Surgery (for example Friday for Monday procedure).

Instruct Pharmacist that these meds are for the 6:45am the morning of surgery.

Look up patient in Centricity EMR to determine Weight and if Idiopathic. If no access PAU PA/NP can help. This drip list is for Idiopathic Spines > 50kg. If otherwise Call Attending Performing Spine for Drip Requests.

• Select Chart found on upper toolbar and input patients name (last name, first)

• Weight found under flowsheet (lower left). ______________kg

• Problem list guides whether idiopathic (upper left). ______________

• Allergies for Pharmacist (upper right). ______________

Remifentanil 100mcg/mL Infusion 50mL mL Syringe

Dopamine 1.6 mg/mL Infusion 50 mL Syringe

Tranexamic Acid 100mg/mL 50 mL Syringe

Plasmalyte 4 Liter Bags

Spinal Narcotic:

• Duramorph 0.5mg mixed with Sufentanil 10mcg

• QS to 2mL in 0.9% Saline Solution

• Dispense in 3mL Syringe
